Changes to Western Bay of Plenty District Council Bylaws
The public are advised that at a meeting held on 1 May 2008 the Western Bay of Plenty District Council approved recommendations to review and update the Bylaws as required pursuant to Section 293 of the LGA 2002 and resolved to commence the Special Consultative Procedure as set out in Sections 83 and 86 of the Local Government Act 2002.
Summary of Proposal
The purpose of this proposal is to notify the public of a review and update of sections of the General Bylaw 2001 (9 Chapters), Traffic and Parking Enforcement Bylaw 2002, Stock Droving Bylaw 1999, Water Supply System Bylaw 2000, Wastewater Drainage Bylaw 2001 and Trade Wastes Bylaw 1993 which need to be reviewed under Section 293 of the LGA 2002 before 1 July 2008.
Submissions
The public are invited to make submissions on the proposed changes to the Bylaws affected under the provisions of Sec 293 of the LGA 2002.

The period for submissions commences on Monday 5 May 2008 until Friday 6 June 2008 - except for the Trade Wastes Bylaw 2008 submission period (which under Section 148 of LGA 2002 is required to run for two months) commencing Monday 5 May 2008 until Monday 7 July 2008.
